The Microsoft accelerators released over the past year or so have included a number of portal-type components, and most recently Microsoft released a consolidated Customer Portal accelerator designed to encompass all of the previous. We will take a closer look at the new portal accelerator, its functionality, and its advantages and disadvantages over the other portal components of previous accelerators, primarily from the eService accelerator.

Join us for our one-day training course, focusing on Microsoft Dynamics GP Security and SmartList Builder. This training session will be held on Wednesday, December 15, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This one-day SmartList Builder course is designed to enhance your knowledge of the new Security format within Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 along with learning how to create many different types of SmartLists yourself. The Security Overview will cover the differences between Tasks, Roles and User Security and how Security can be planned for and setup to validate the segregation of duties between users. The SmartList Builder training will be a hands on approach to understand the GP table structures and learn about the multiple ways a report could be created.
Learning Proposition - Having the knowledge to review and revamp Security is becoming a task that everyone has on their To Do list, but may be hesitant to tackle. This training will help give you that first step to create a Security Matrix allowing you to define the security on paper first, then be able to complete the Security Setup for the auditors. The SmartList Builder training will give you an understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics GP table structure to be able to build the reports yourself. It will allow you to create reports through many different methods and be able to easily export the report to excel.
